In this panel, the general background of big data and big data in power electrical industry will be introduced and then related technologies will be reviewed. The application of big data among some typical power utilities will be illustrated. The challenges to obtain big data will be are given. Some possible solutions will be proposed. The panel aims to provide a comprehensive overview of big data in power utilities and future directions to maximize the potential of big data implementation and application will be discussed with examples.
